Find the area between y=4−x2\displaystyle y = 4 - x^2 and the x\displaystyle x-axis. Give the answer to 3 decimal places.

The parabola crosses the x-axis at x = ±2, so integrate 4 − x² from −2 to 2. This gives [4x − x³/3] evaluated at the limits, equal to 32/3 ≈ 10.667 square units.
