A circle has a radius of 9. A sector of the circle has a central angle of 80°. The area of the sector is kπ. What is the value of k?

k equals 18. A sector's area is its share of the full circle, so with radius 9 the full area is 81π, and the sector takes 80/360 = 2/9 of that, giving (2/9)(81π) = 18π, so k = 18.
