Solve dydx=x\displaystyle \frac{dy}{dx} = x with y(0)=1\displaystyle y(0) = 1, and find y(2)\displaystyle y(2).

Integrating dy/dx = x gives y = x²/2 + C. Using y(0)=1 fixes C=1, so y = x²/2 + 1. Then y(2) = 2²/2 + 1 = 3. Check: differentiating x²/2+1 gives back x.
