9Finding slope then extending line

The points (2, 7), (5, 16) and (8, 25) lie on the line y = mx + b. What is the value of y when x = 20?

When x = 20, y = 61. The slope between the points is m = 3, and plugging (2,7) into y = mx + b gives b = 1, so the line is y = 3x + 1; at x = 20, y = 3(20)+1 = 61.
