5Limit at infinity, rational function

Find lim⁡x→∞3x2+52x2−x\displaystyle \lim_{x\to\infty} \frac{3x^2 + 5}{2x^2 - x}.

Divide every term by the highest power, x², and let the small fractions vanish as x grows huge. That leaves the ratio of leading coefficients: 3/2. Checking with x = 1,000,000 gives a value very close to 1.5.
